Alberta’s October 13 deadline: unlicensed sites face enforcement as transition window closes

Alberta’s three-month transition window for grey-market operators ends October 13. The province says sites still operating without authorization after that date face regulatory action.

What it means for players

If you still hold a balance or open wagers with an unlicensed offshore site, expect account closures and withdrawal processing around the cutoff. After October 13, check the AiGC’s regulated list before you play — if a brand isn’t on it, it isn’t licensed.
